Who we are
Richard Gosler
Founder and Managing Director
Richard is a highly experienced art director, designer and photographer with over 25 years experience in direct mail, catalogue and advertising.
The early years
After a classical art school training followed by a degree in advertising and editorial photography, Richard spent several years with Finnemore and Field Ltd in London, then the largest catalogue studios in the UK outside of Manchester. Accounts worked on, on a regular basis included Argos, Spicers, Universal, Jewellers Guild, Samuel and Cadbury Schweppes
In the early 90’s Richard went freelance as a photographer/art director working on many household name catalogues including Innovations, Science Museum, John Lewis, McCord to name but a few. He also worked with advertising and design agencies both in London and on the south coast on innumerable campaigns. He was one of the first photographers in Dorset to shoot purely digitally as long ago as 1996.
Pixelhaus Studios
Richard’s love of technology combined with an obsession for good design led inevitably to get involved in the first wave of new media in the late 90’s. Richard’s expertise in new media encompasses xhtml/css design, content management, ecommerce (He is the only accredited Actinic developer in Dorset), SEO, email and social media marketing.
Outside interests include clay pigeon shooting, longbow archery, drumming and labradoodles!
Damion Hazael
Lead designer
Damion joined Pixelhaus in January 2009 as our lead designer and web marketing specialist. Previously he has made a name for himself as a successful commercial artist, collaborating with highly acclaimed galleries, art-houses and interior designers around the UK. His paintings have also featured in various publications including the prestigious Arts Culture Magazine: The Wessex Muse.
He brings with him a fresh eye for layout, design and space within the fairly structured world of the web. Along with his design skills he also has a very strong background in marketing having run his own marketing agency and worked in the Middle East and South East Asia for a large international investment firm.
