The first question we generally ask is, what is your goal for the website. Typical goals might include to increase enquiries about services, an uplift in sales, reducing bottlenecks in a sales pipeline or increasing traffic from mobile users.

Based on our initial meetings and understanding of the agreed specification we will come up with a design concept. Naturally there will be a common theme throughout, and will present you with artwork that represents all the key pages. We may also provide you with a mobile visual too.

We'll go through all the options both aesthetic and technical and decide which direction to take and make any adjustments accordingly.

Now we have your design locked-in, we can begin to construct the website. Depending on your needs, our copywriter may be in touch with you to help put your ideas down through the "voice" of your brand.

Any data, photography and video, along with your content will need to be scheduled or acquired at this stage. As well as the obvious content we will also require your brand guidelines and any additional platform logins that require integration.

Using everything we've gathered, your website is built. If rebuilding, we always endeavour to maintain the site map and page titles to ensure SEO continuity. Post-build, we will test on a range of browsers and devices to ensure maximum compatibility.

Once it's done, we'll present it to you and go through the details in accordance with the objectives originally set.

Any amendments can be made at this stage.

Depending on the choice of platform for your site, we will train you or key members of your staff in the relevant aspects of managing it. This can either be done in person at our offices, at your place of work or via remote screensharing.

In addition to training you on your specific platform we can give staff tuition in image editing tools such as photoshop and we also hold periodic training seminars (for example in SEO) which you are able to attend.

The launch process is a carefully considered one. We need to ensure email addresses don't go down, the site doesn't have any downtime, any old links are re-directed to the new pages and myriad other details. This is something we've done hundreds of times before.

We operate to a thorough checklist: we usually launch at a time when there are a minimal number of users while we iron out any kinks that have been missed during testing. You can sleep easy knowing we'll be on-hand to ensure everything goes according to plan.

Velair needed to take their brand, Everything Electrical into new international markets.

This is a multilingual site in six languages to match the territories they operate in. We built the site in Joomla which has multilingual functionality built in as a core feature.

As well as the visible text, alt tages, page titles and meta descriptions were also translated to create a truly international contender.
